Dudley Interchange

The new Dudley Interchange is a key part the regeneration of Dudley Town Centre, a transport hub that will allow passengers to switch seamlessly between bus services and the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension.

The Transport for West Midlands scheme is just one in a series of major regeneration projects which are are set to transform Dudley town centre. This will help in connecting residents to jobs, education and training opportunities as well as leisure and healthcare facilities.

Latest works

Construction is progressing well with the internal blockwork and external brickwork continuing through the west side of the building.

The curtain walling at the lower concourse entrance has commenced while the fascia and soffit installation works are continuing around the building.

In the office areas, dry lining has begun and resin injections have been added.

The main structure of the staircases are nearing completion, too.

Taylor Woodrow is the main contractor for the project and construction has been underway since summer 2025. The interchange is set to open and be used by passengers in 2026.
